Philippe Pastor
Philippe Pastor began the Burnt Trees series in 2003, which he created from the trunks of trees burned in the fires of the Massif des Maures, where his studios were located. This approach marked his commitment to environmental protection, which would remain at the heart of his work.

French painter and sculptor David David is known for his iconic character with a bucket on its head. Each of his works expresses situations the artist experiences and reflects our behavior in society. Starting in 2024, David David began creating new sculptures in raw wood, crafted with a chainsaw, bringing an even more raw and authentic dimension to his art.

The chapel
Saint Bernard
The chapel of the Refuge de la Traye is dedicated to the patron saint of mountaineers and mountaineers.
Saint Bernard of the Alps, was the founder of the hospices of Petit and Grand Saint Bernard and protector of the passes.
In the 19th century, he was depicted with a rescue dog, the famous St. Bernard, who came to the rescue of mountain victims and gave his name to the dog.
Hors Sac Room
For our hiking friends and other mountain lovers, our “Salle Hors Sac” is open all year round and to all passing by. It is located on the ground floor of the Mazot des Randonneurs below the stairs and faces the Chalet’s main entrance. Access is signposted. The Teepee
The Teepee is a sanctuary of well-being. The floor covered in animal skins and its cocooning furniture create an atmosphere that is both luxurious and soothing. A massage table in the center invites you to a sensory experience.
