Saint Bernard of the Alps, was the founder of the hospices of Petit and Grand Saint Bernard and protector of the passes.
In the 19th century, he was depicted with a rescue dog, the famous St. Bernard, who came to the rescue of mountain victims and gave his name to the dog.
For our hiking friends and other mountain lovers, our “Salle Hors Sac” is open all year round and to all passing by. It is located on the ground floor of the Mazot des Randonneurs below the stairs and faces the Chalet’s main entrance. Access is signposted.
